Samsung has officially introduced the 1TB PRO Plus and EVO Plus microSD cards. Utilizing Samsung's 8th-generation V-NAND technology, the PRO Plus and EVO Plus deliver optimal performance with high capacity, ideal for content creators and tech users who need to store and transfer data quickly.
The PRO Plus and EVO Plus microSD cards meet this demand with sequential read speeds of up to 180MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 130MB/s for the PRO Plus, and transfer speeds of up to 160MB/s for the EVO Plus.
The large storage capacity of these memory cards allows users to store over 400,000 4K UHD images or more than 45 console games. The PRO Plus and EVO Plus cards are available in storage options ranging from 128GB to 1TB, providing expanded storage for devices such as smartphones, action cameras, drones, and handheld gaming consoles. The EVO Plus even has a 64GB version.
Both memory card lines feature a 28nm controller that enhances energy efficiency and maximizes the battery life of the device. The PRO Plus and EVO Plus cards are also highly regarded for their reliability and durability, offering resistance to water, high temperatures, X-rays, and magnetic fields. These products are designed to withstand shocks and wear, making them suitable for creators working in tough environments.
The PRO Plus and EVO Plus cards are compatible with a wide range of everyday devices such as Android smartphones, tablets, and handheld gaming consoles, as well as devices in harsh environments like action cameras and drones.
The 1TB PRO Plus and EVO Plus memory cards will be available globally starting in July 2024, with suggested retail prices ranging from $10 for the 64GB version of the EVO Plus to $135 for the 1TB version of the PRO Plus.
