FreeBuds 6i: Huawei’s New Wireless Earbuds Worth Owning
The Huawei FreeBuds 6i boasts a compact in-ear design that fits snugly in the user's ears. The earbuds are made from high-quality plastic, offering a secure and comfortable fit for extended wear. Additionally, the FreeBuds 6i comes equipped with Smart ANC 3.0 active noise cancellation, allowing users to immerse themselves in their music without being disturbed by surrounding noise.
Huawei FreeBuds 6i Specifications
The Huawei FreeBuds 6i features an in-ear design with skin-friendly silicone eartips, providing comfort and enhanced noise isolation without compromising sound quality. Huawei also offers three different eartip sizes to accommodate various users.
The housing measures 31.4 x 21.3 x 23.7 mm and weighs 5.4 grams, while the charging case measures 48.2 x 61.8 x 27 mm and weighs 34 grams.
Huawei has implemented a new noise-canceling algorithm called Intelligence Dynamic ANC 3.0, which monitors environmental noise and adjusts the noise cancellation accordingly. The FreeBuds 6i includes a noise-canceling chamber that absorbs noise transmitted through the earbuds and minimizes surrounding noise and other frequencies to the maximum extent.
Each earbud is equipped with a 3-microphone system, providing a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) 50% higher than previous versions. This enhances noise-canceling performance, along with 11 mm dynamic drivers featuring four magnets.
These dynamic drivers are 50% more sensitive than the FreeBuds 5i, creating a soundwave shield against external noise, resulting in a richer audio experience.
The Huawei FreeBuds 6i are equipped with a 55 mAh battery in each earbud, while the charging case holds a 510 mAh battery, a 25% increase from the previous generation. The earbuds use USB-C wired charging, taking at least 40 minutes to fully charge the earbuds and about 100 minutes to fully charge both the case and the earbuds from 0% to 100%.
With ANC enabled, the earbuds can last up to 20 hours with the charging case and 5 hours without it. With ANC turned off, the device offers 35 hours of usage with the case and 8 hours using just the earbuds.
Other features include dual-device connectivity, Easy Audio Sharing, Dynamic EQ, IP54 dust and water resistance, call noise cancellation, transparency mode, and Bluetooth 5.3. The Huawei FreeBuds 6i also has Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification.
How Much Do Huawei FreeBuds 6i Cost?
The Huawei FreeBuds 6i are available in three color options: White, Black, and Purple. While Huawei has not officially announced the price, sources indicate that the FreeBuds 6i will be priced at €99.
