Step 3: Choose the Messages part and press Backup and Restore.

Step 4: Confirm you want to restore messages by pressing the blue Restore messages line on the notification page.

Step 5: Press continue and wait for a while for the restoration process to take place.

2. How to retrieve deleted messages on Android

Step 1: Log in to the Zalo application on your Android phone screen.

Step 2: Press the add icon (4 square icon) at the bottom right corner of the screen. Then select the settings icon (gear icon) at the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: In the Settings section, choose Messages then select Backup and restore messages.

Step 4: Press Restore messages and confirm the message restoration.

Step 5: Press Restore messages on the notification page that appears in front of the screen. Then press Continue and wait for a while for the messages to be retrieved.

Note: Messages that have just been deleted after 5s can be restored immediately by pressing Restore on the notification page at the bottom of the screen.

3.1 First, you need to install the Message Backup feature on Zalo PC

Step 1: Open Zalo PC, click on the avatar in the left corner of the screen. A selection panel will appear below. Click on the Backup/Restore section.

Step 2: On the Zalo - Backup selection panel, tick the items you need to backup: messages, images, videos, etc. Then choose a folder to store these backup files.

Step 3: Click on Backup for the system to proceed with backing up messages for you.

3.2 Next is the step to proceed with restoring deleted Zalo messages

Step 1: Once the data backup is successful, copy the backup file to a storage drive.

Step 2: Click on the gear icon then choose the Backup/restore -> Restore data section.

Step 3: On the Restore selection panel, press Select file then navigate to where the backup file was stored earlier. Then choose Open.

Step 4: Continue pressing Restore and wait for the restoration process to complete. When the data restoration is finished, press Done to end the backup process.
