The Internet is a global network system that includes billions of computers and other electronic devices connected to each other through standardized Internet Protocol (IP) networks. With the internet, you can access almost all information, communicate with anyone else, or buy, sell, transact, work from anywhere in the world.

Talking about how the internet works would require some knowledge of networking technology. However, you can understand simply that the internet is essentially a network of physical cables connected across the globe. When you access a webpage, your device sends a request through these cables to a server. This server, where the webpage is stored, then sends the information back to your device, and the whole process happens in just a few seconds.

IV. Who Invented the Internet?
Paul Baran, along with two colleagues, Donald Davies and Leonard Kleinrock, invented the internet. Paul Baran had the early idea of creating an information exchange system called ARPANET, which is the precursor to today's internet.
In 1969, the U.S. Department of Defense studied and invested in developing the ARPANET project, which led to the formation of the first regional network in 1980 to exchange information, including Stanford Research Institute, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of Utah, and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
After many years of development and many changes, the Internet has now become the largest network in the world, appearing in every field of life from commerce, politics, military, research, education, culture, society to entertainment…

In Vietnam, there are many internet service providers, among which the most prominent and trusted by many people include:
- Viettel
- VNPT
