God of War Ragnarok PC: Surprisingly Light Requirements, Old PCs Can Still Run It Smoothly
Good news for those eagerly awaiting God of War Ragnarok on PC! The game's system requirements have been revealed, and many are surprised by how "lenient" they are. Even fairly old computers can run this blockbuster game smoothly.

If you want to play at a higher resolution or achieve a better frame rate, the requirements increase. For example, to play at 4K resolution with 60 FPS, you'll need an Intel i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti or AMD RX 7900 XT GPU, and 16 GB of RAM. These requirements are considered reasonable compared to current games.
For the recommended configuration to play at 1080p resolution with 60 FPS and medium settings, you'll need a GPU like the NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super or AMD RX 5700, along with an Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, and 16 GB of RAM. To enhance the experience to 1440p resolution with 60 FPS at high settings, the hardware requirements are a NVIDIA RTX 3070 or AMD RX 6800 GPU, an Intel i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, and 16 GB of RAM.
If you want to play at 4K resolution with a 60 FPS frame rate at high settings, you'll need an NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti or AMD RX 6900 XT GPU, along with an Intel i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, and 16 GB of RAM. Finally, to achieve Ultra quality at 4K resolution with 60 FPS, your system will need an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti or AMD RX 7900 XT GPU, an Intel i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, and 16 GB of RAM. All these configurations require a 64-bit Windows 10 operating system and 190 GB of storage space on an SSD.
Sony has also confirmed that God of War Ragnarok on PC will support image upscaling technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XeSS 1.3, which help boost frame rates and enhance the gaming experience.
God of War Ragnarok will launch on PC on September 19, 2024. The game is also currently available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
