Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Consumes 300GB SSD: Xbox Series X/S Gamers Take Note
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will demand a massive 309.8 GB of SSD space on Xbox Series X/S, according to the game's specifications listed on the Xbox Store.
In reality, this number isn’t shocking for long-time CoD fans. For instance, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare initially required over 200 GB, later increasing to over 250 GB for the PC version with various updates. Now, the 300 GB requirement equates to roughly one-third of the 1 TB SSD inside the Xbox Series X/S.
It's important to note that the 300+ GB is just the starting point, as the game could take up even more space with daily patches, periodic updates, and seasonal content. This could pose a problem for Xbox Series X/S gamers (and even PlayStation 5 users) who are limited by a 1 TB SSD.
PC gamers might fare better, as they generally have more storage options compared to console users. However, over 300 GB is still a staggering amount of storage for a single game, especially when many other visually rich games require significantly less storage.
